Jim and Jan Schmitt founded WOCC after moving to Limerick with their family in 1999. Jim and Jan are both graduates of Rhema Bible College in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Prior to entering the ministry they worked in the business sector. Jim holds a degree in business management.
Their call to pastor a non-denominational church in Ireland is not surprising. Jim was raised Roman Catholic and Jan as a Protestant. Before their marriage, they found common ground through a non-denominational church and established a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. They have a unique ability to transend religious barriers and demonstrate God's love to those who desire to simply know Jesus more and experience His resurrection power in their lives.
One of their passions is to see people come to Christ and help them discover knowledge and understanding of the Bible. Secondly, to help Christians grow spiritually and learn how to be led by the Holy Spirit. Third, to assist, train and equip people to fulfil their destiny and reach the world with the Good News of Jesus.
Jim and Jan have been married over 30 years, have three grown daughters, two sons-in-law and three grandchildren who all serve the Lord. Their ministry of faith, love and victory in Jesus Christ has touched lives throughout the world. They are dedicated to seeing God's will for Ireland and her people come to pass.
